The members of our management team have been with the company, inclusive of acquired predecessor companies, for an average of over 10 years.
Mr. DiGia has more than 30 years of experience in the LFG industry. His experience includes production, operations and construction, business development, and managing sanitary landfill operations. Utilizing his extensive industry experience, Mr. DiGia drives our focus on sustainable growth, thoughtful business development, effective marketing, budgetary discipline and the achievement of environmental and facility performance objectives. Additionally, Mr. DiGia leads our deep commitment to safety and responsible business practices. Mr. DiGia earned a Bachelor of Science from St. Lawrence University and a Master of Business Administration from the University Of Michigan Ross School Of Business.
Andrew Spence brings 35 years of diverse accounting, finance and business experience to Aria Energy. Mr. Spence is responsible for all financial management and reporting functions for Aria Energy managing the company’s various professional services relationships including finance, banking and audit. Most recently he served 13 years as the Chief Financial Officer of Ameresco, prior to which he spent four years as the Controller of ABB Energy Capital. He started his career as a Certified Public Accountant at Deloitte Haskins and Sells. Mr. Spence holds Master of Business Administration and post-graduate Bachelor of Accounting Science degrees from the University of Puget Sound and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington State University.
Ms. Miller served as our Vice President of Commercial Operations from 2007 to 2013 before becoming the Senior Vice President of Business Development in 2013, and has been employed by our company since 1990. Ms. Miller is responsible for coordinating all commercial business activities including financial analysis, contract negotiation and administration. She oversees business development, asset management and human resources functions. Ms. Miller is also responsible for development of new projects, leading merger and acquisitions, and commercial contract administration. Ms. Miller received a Bachelors of Science from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
Mr. Plaster brings over 30 years of power generation experience to his role of leading a team of operation managers responsible for the day to day operation of every Aria Energy power generation facility. Additionally he oversees the Oakfield rebuild facility and parts warehouse while also managing the internal engineering staff. Mr. Plaster previously served as General Manager for IES with operation, engineering and new plant construction responsibilities. Prior to working for IES, he was the Engineering Manager for Milton Cat Power systems for 15 years, managing engineering and project management over a broad range of power system applications. Dennis has a BSME degree from Wentworth Institute.
Mr. Hopper has experience as: CEO of Timberline Energy, President of Mowood, Inc., President of Omega Pipeline Company, LLC, Vice President and General Manager of Kinder Morgan Power Company, General Manager of the Platte River Power Authority (PRPA), and Chief Operating Officer for Barlow Projects Inc. (BPI). At Timberline Energy, Mr. Hopper signed development agreements for 14 landfill gas to energy projects. While at Kinder Morgan, the organization signed approximately 5000 megawatts in combined cycle natural gas power plant commitments. At PRPA, Mr. Hopper participated in the development of three large coal-fired power plants including in excess of $1 billion in power project financings. Mr. Hopper received a Master’s Degree in Business and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Colorado State University and obtained his CPA license in 1975.
Mr. Harnish joined Aria Energy with over 13 years of legal experience, including 11 in the energy sector. As Vice President and General Counsel for Aria Energy, Mr. Harnish oversees all legal, compliance, regulatory and corporate governance matters of the company and its subsidiaries. He directs key legal analysis around commercial contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions and employment matters and sets policy and direction with respect to a broad range of legal aspects.
Prior to joining Aria Energy, he served as Senior Corporate Counsel and Director for Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Inc., a Regional Transmission Organization/Independent System Operator. Mr. Harnish was an attorney with Locke Reynolds, LLP and worked in the insurance industry for 14 years. He received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Purdue University and a Juris Doctorate with honors from the Indiana University School of Law.

Aria Energy, a leader in the landfill gas to energy industry has an immediate opening for Plant Operator/Technician with 1-5 years of operation & maintenance experience on mobile or stationary engine generator sets up to 1500 kW. Specific experience monitoring plant operations, performing maintenance and repairs on CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines or similar piston engines, controls, generators and ancillary equipment is desired. Primary responsibilities are daily maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical generator sets and equipment. Additional responsibilities include keeping a spare parts inventory, maintenance, planning/scheduling, record keeping and reporting.
